Telemedicine

What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine is the use of telecommunications technology to provide real-time health care and remote clinical services to patients, virtually, at a distance.

Do you offer Telemedicine?

Yes, when suitable. Overall, I prefer in person sessions because I believe there is a beneficial connection and energy that happens. However, sometimes, meeting in person is not possible. I am willing to meet virtually as long as there is no negative impact on the therapeutic time.

Which platform do you use?

I use Doxy because it is a HIPAA compliant platform. β€œTo be HIPAA compliant, telemedicine platforms must incorporate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data in accordance with the Security Rule.” To learn more, check out Doxy.me

How do I see you on Doxy?

If telemedicine is suitable, then I will provide you with the link to my virtual waiting room. When it is time for our appointment you simply follow the link, add your name, and I will start our session as a video call.

What are the benefits of Telemedicine?

Telemedicine breaks barriers that clients have to access healthcare. Common barriers might be physical distance, access to transportation, disabilities, or even illness. It helps clients get the care they need more easily.

Can I still have a complimentary consultation call if I use Telemedicine?

Of course! Feel free to call me at 440.319.6124, email at slacy.lpcc@gmail.com, or click here and I would be happy to reach out to you.
